How we count
Vietnam Trip Planning is not a blog and not an AI guess. Every number on this site is counted from what real travellers actually wrote. Here is exactly how it is made — and where we stop.
What the numbers mean
We read 281,939 traveller posts and comments about Vietnam and count how many separate travellers mentioned each place, dish or tip. The number on each card — “N travellers mentioned” — is that count, nothing more. It is not our opinion and not a paid ranking.
Fact-checked, not guessed
Where you see “fact-checked”, we cross-checked that tip against a published source — an official site, a news article, or the operator’s own page — and we keep the link so you can look it up yourself. Right now that is 221 of the 293 tips across 17 destinations. We have not visited every one of these places recently, and we will not pretend we have. When we personally re-visit a spot it gets a separate “local-checked” mark — and we never use that mark unless it is true.
When we do not know, we say so
If too few travellers mention something, we show nothing rather than invent a plausible answer. That is why some places or sections are missing — not an oversight, a rule. A thin page is worse than no page.
What we do not do
We do not write blog articles, we do not generate itineraries with AI and pass them off as real, and we do not show star ratings or reviews we did not earn. The only thing we claim is the count, and that we can show you.
